On Reaching Our 80th Anniversary

On June 1, 2026, Mitsuba celebrated the 80th anniversary of its founding.

In 1946, in the post-war rebuilding period, our founders created this company out of a desire to make Japan a prosperous, happy nation. Embracing their passion for manufacturing and their dreams for the future, they supported the economy through competitive products, created jobs, and walked hand in hand with their community. That ambition remains the heart of Mitsuba to this very day, eighty years on.

Today, Mitsuba thrives because of all our stakeholders, who have given their support to our Mitsuba Group. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
In addition, it is thanks to the efforts and passion of our 22,000 colleagues working together around the world that allow us to continue to deliver value.

We have reached our 80th anniversary, but our mission remains unchanged. Mitsuba will provide pleasure and peace of mind to the people of the world by creating technology in harmony with society and the environment. Based on the technology and trust we have cultivated, we will continue to create even greater value.

The future of mobility is facing a paradigm change. We see this change as a chance, and will continue to take on our challenges with a sense of speed. With our Vision 2030, we will pave the way for the next era and advance toward the future that lies ahead.

We have selected our 80th Anniversary Logo from the many suggestions submitted by Mitsuba Group members, including those in overseas subsidiaries and affiliates.
The design is inspired by the letters making up “MITSUBA.” It expresses our stance of continuing sustained growth while being in harmony with our communities and the environment, and incorporates our eighty years of history and feelings regarding the brighter future ahead.

UNIFORM

Our New Uniforms for a Fresh Mindset
As part of our 80th anniversary, we have updated our uniform to serve as a symbol for our new stage of growth. The concept behind the new uniform is “Wear to Connect, Walk with Mitsuba, and Connect with Smiles,” and will be brought in for employees of Mitsuba Corporation and its domestic Group companies starting in January 2027. “Walk with Mitsuba” reflects our strong desire to do our best together in the future as well. “Connect” refers to our wish to be kind and value the connections between people. The design gives a sense of unity through incorporating MITSUBA Blue and MITSUBA Green, our corporate colors. The uniforms also use a very stretchable, breathable fabric, and there are more variations that can be worn comfortably to suit the season or the work environment.

In addition, we will roll out a variety of other initiatives to celebrate our 80th anniversary,
including the anniversary tree-planting program, the arrangement of anniversary gifts for Mitsuba members, holding factory festivals, etc.
