We are pleased to announce our decision to establish a preparatory company that will serve in guiding the operations of establishing a new company in Brazil.

In light of the expansion of our business opportunities in South America, and in order to construct a manufacturing and distributing framework on a global scale, we have decided to establish these new companies to serve as a stronghold for 4-wheeled vehicles.
Mitsuba do Brasil Ltda. (established in September 2002 in Manaus) currently serves as the Mitsuba Group manufacturing base for parts designed for 2-wheeled vehicles in this region. |

Mitsuba Wins the "2009 WEM-GP" Eco-run Race
We are proud to announce that our Eco-Run team, Team "Yoishoto!" Mitsuba, won the 2009 World Econo Move Grand Prix (WEM-GP).

The lead batteries distributed by the race organizer were installed to guarantee equal conditions for all competitors as they competed for total distance within a specified time limit.
* World Econo Move Grand Prix
The World Econo Move and other similar races work together nationwide to promote the advance of electric car technology as well as the growth of these races. This year's event included a series of five races. |

Comments from Mitsuba Regarding the Race |
|
We are very happy that we were able to win our back to back, and fourth overall, Grand Prix, and with a larger lead against the runner-up team than last year. We believe our victory is owed largely to the improved aerodynamic performance due to our new upper cowl as well as an improved motor flexibility due to the PWM motor controller we introduced last year that enabled us to spend much of our man-hours on other things.
We also introduced in the last two races a new technology of an electric double layer capacitor capable of squeezing out battery energy. The data we have suggest a bright prospect for next year's races.
As the defending champion, we are determined to continue to take up new challenges in order to stay ahead of our competitors.
