***FRAUDULENT CHECK SCAM ALERT***

FRAUD SCAM TARGETS AMERICAN MITSUBA CORPORATION

American Mitsuba Corporation (“AMC”) has been targeted in an illegal check scam involving the receipt of fraudulent checks by victims that appear to be issued by AMC.

Numerous individuals have received fraudulent checks along with a letter from fake companies such as “Mitsuba Marketing Research”, “Mitsuba Research Consultants”, or “Disney Research Services” relating to a “secret shopper” or “mystery shopper” scheme. The company directs the recipient to deposit the fraudulent check into their bank account and to immediately wire a portion of the check proceeds to the scammers using Western Union, Money Gram or other related wiring service.

THIS IS A CONFIRMED SCAM.Both the letter and the check are fraudulent, and the fraudulent check will not be honored by our bank and you may be liable to repay the funds.YOU SHOULD NOT CASH OR DEPOSIT THIS CHECK.

If you are in receipt of such check, we ask that you immediately contact AMC attention of Ms. Kasa Smith at (810) 225-2458, ext. 2004.AMC will report all such inquires to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

AMC values our reputation as a world-wide leader in the manufacture, distribution and sales of high quality automotive components and accessories.AMC has reported this scam to appropriate authorities and is aggressively pursuing steps to investigate this crime, and to any prevent future occurrences.
