Local volunteer activities

At many of our sites, volunteers have worked hard collecting trash from the banks of the Watarase and Kiryu rivers and helped to beautify local parks. Recently, it has become an established custom for us to participate in these community activities at each of our regional bases. Sometime family members also lend a hand.

Plants Festivals

Every year, the Mitsuba Festivals held at each of our plants are extremely popular with our employees, their families and other members of the local community. People gather at our plant grounds and enjoy communicating with each other through venues such as refreshment stalls, bazaars, karaoke singing contests and other events and attractions.

Cosponsor of the Kiryu Yagibushi Matsuri

The Yagibushi Festival, cosponsored by the Mitsuba Corporation, has become an established annual custom as well as a colorful summer tradition here in Kiryu. An elevated wooden stage is erected in a central location in downtown Kiryu where the company's Yagibushi dancing team performs the ancient Yagibushi folk dance. This popular performance tends to raise the level of the heat of summer in Kiryu a few degrees.

Mitsuba Cultural Lecture Series

This series invites leaders active in a wide range of fields to speak as guest lecturers. Their lectures deal with a variety of timely themes including our society, culture and maintenance of good health, etc.

Mitsuba Charity Concerts

Mitsuba employees carry out all of the various processes, from management to performances for the charity concerts sponsored by the Mitsuba Mutual Aid Association. Members of our "Music Club" thoroughly enjoy demonstrating the results of their regular practice sessions, as do the local people who come to listen. Proceeds are donated to the Foundation for Orphans from Automobile Accidents and to help fund other local volunteer activities.
